Directions

For more information on how to get to Rookwood and the Office, please visit the Rookwood Cemetery website.

Parking

Parking is available opposite the office, opposite All Souls and along Hawthorne Avenue. HIDDEN is a sculptural WALK ONLY.  For the safety of all of our visitors, please do not drive around the exhibition.

Pet Companions

Dogs are permitted on a leash throughout the Cemetery. Service dogs are most welcome too.

Accessibilty

Please know that the HIDDEN route is not easily accessible and care must be taken at all times due to the uneven ground. Walking stick chairs are available from the Rookwood Office (for a refundable deposit) to assist with visitors who need extra assistance along the walk.

HIDDEN Map

This year's walk is a loop, with our main exhibition sculpture artworks leading the way around the cemtery from the American War Pavilion (which also displays on rotation HIDDEN Rookwood Films), south down the Village Green, west over the canal and up to the Elephant House and surrounding area, then back to the newly restored Grave Digger's Hut. Student artworks then lead the walk back to Hawthorne Avenue.

HIDDEN Catalogue

The 2019 catalogue is available on site again this year for a gold coin donation. All monies raised will support The Friends of Rookwood with restoring Aaron Burton’s monument. Aaron Burton was a gravedigger who later became the Ranger of the Cemetery. Burton died the day after his 99th birthday. More of his story is told in The Sleeping City. His grave is located in Section BBB - #481. For more information visit friendsofrookwoodinc.org.au

The catalogue will be made available online from Tuesday 8 October.
